The signals this detector uses

Burstiness — humans write in bursts: short sentences mixed with long ones. LLMs tend toward uniform sentence length. Lower variation → more AI-like.

AI phrase library — phrases like "in conclusion", "delve into", "navigate the", "tapestry", "in today's" appear far more often in ChatGPT output than in pre-2022 human writing.

Lexical diversity — type-token ratio (unique words ÷ total words). Very low diversity is a soft AI signal.

Honest disclaimer: No detector is 100% accurate. Use this as a directional signal — never as definitive proof for an academic or professional accusation.
