TDEE Calculator — Total Daily Energy Expenditure (Mifflin-St Jeor)

Find how many calories you burn each day given your age, sex, height, weight, and activity level. Uses the Mifflin-St Jeor BMR equation plus standard activity multipliers, then suggests cut, maintain, and bulk targets.

How to use

  1. Step 1: Choose units (metric or imperial)
  2. Step 2: Enter age, sex, height, and weight
  3. Step 3: Pick your activity level
  4. Step 4: Read your BMR, TDEE, and cut/maintain/bulk targets

BMR + activity = TDEE

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is what you'd burn at complete rest — keeping the heart, lungs, and brain running. The Mifflin-St Jeor equation is the modern standard:

BMR = 10·kg + 6.25·cm − 5·age + (5 if male else −161)

TDEE multiplies BMR by an activity factor (1.2 sedentary → 1.9 very active) to estimate real-world daily burn. To lose ~1 lb/week eat ~500 cal under TDEE; to gain lean muscle eat ~250-300 cal over.
